I use a CBT lens to work with clients that are seeking therapy for themselves. Together we will explore beliefs about self and others, any negative thought patterns and behaviors, and set therapeutic goals. We will then work together to make positive changes so that you can meet your goals.
I use art therapy and other hands on interventions to help clients within this age group process what is going on in their lives. I then give them tools to make positive changes.
I use a combination of CBT and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) and Gottman Method with couples. This helps couples understand that there is a pattern or "dance" that happens within the relationship that leads to increased emotions and irrational behaviors.
A marriage is two imperfect people coming together to build a life. This is both wonderful and scary. Sometimes, couples need a little bit of help figuring things out. I would love to help.
I also am a Prepare-Enrich facilitator and often use this assessment for pre-marital and marital counseling. There will an extra fee for this assessment.
Families are constantly transitioning. Some of these transitions can be difficult. They can cause stress and anxiety. To help families navigate these transitions, I use Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy. This will help families identify areas in which their beliefs negatively affect others in the family.
